Sarah Case- Week 3

Today is my 4th to last day in Chile. I really don't want to leave; the time has gone by way to fast! I have seen a lot and that has been accompanied by many emotions... sad ones, happy ones, and all memorable ones. I feel at home here. Today we planted trees as a bittersweet farewell to the community. The kids seemed to really enjoy planting the trees, after taking three years to have them grow into what they are today. We all named the trees after they were planted and two of the kids I worked with named them Sarah:).

As it was our last week we had many goodbyes to say. Part of those goodbyes included a fancy dinner with the faculty in the schools. Everybody dressed up real nice! I'm not going to lie, we looked good! The food was great, and the conversation even better!

I actually became a celebrity in my last week in Chile! I was in the newspaper last week and on TV this week. It was such a great experience o talk about my experience here and contribute to what our group does! This is the first year that the group has been given this opportunity and it was such a good experience to be able to be a part of this! I don't ever want to leave, but as all good things come to end... so has this. I will never forget my time here.
