My first week in Chile (Veta)

I am enjoying my first week in Chile!  My family is small which includes my student, Paulina (Pauly), her sister and her mom.





However, I have had the opportunity to meet several other family members such as Pauly´s maternal grandparents, her great-grandmother and her aunt.  Everyone has been extremely nice and welcoming.












My family and I visited Laguna Grande which is very beautiful.
















We also visited to small lake which had some portions that resembled Louisiana marsh land and had animals that looked just like nutria rats.

I have been assigned to campus Huertos which is the pre K-4th grade.  Yesterday was my first day at the school.  The kids are so cute and cooperative.  They get along well.  I did not see any behavioral infractions and all of the kids were respectful and engaged.
