Sarah Case

I'm almost to the end of my first week in Chile and I already never want to leave! Although I don't speak Spanish, my family has two very good English speakers. So far they have taken me to so many places! One of those places was the Laguna which was absolutely beautiful!

They also took me to Tumbes which is full of fisherman with the freshest fish. I ate Salmon con papas fritas and we had empanadas as an appetizer. The culture is so different here, but I love it! They are much more affectionate than we are in the U.S, but in a good way. They aren't so stiff like we are sometimes in America. They also have taken me to the University de Concepcion which in many ways is very similar to the way LSU looks. The trees here are the most similar to back home where they are crazy big and green! I also got to see the sea lions here and I'm convinced that I saw the fattest sea lion in the world! The picture does not do it justice.

I can't wait to see what the rest of my journey brings!
